TeamX, short for Team Member Experience, is designed to focus on all facets of the Whole Person Approach by rolling out new programs or initiatives uniquely designed to enhance your experience and engagement as a member of your hospital’s support staff. Whether it be focused on mental wellness, financial support, better benefits, career growth, or anything in between, we look forward to supporting each team member in a way that has a substantial and long lasting impact. Secondarily, we look forward to creating a network-wide bond, enhancing the connection between teams and finding community within the CareVet family.

Meet Zinnia Vargas
“Zinnia was found by one of our clients’ daughters around 2 years ago. She was found roaming the streets of Lubbock as a kitten and needed a forever home and was brought all the way over to Frisco, many hours away. Having finally recovered from the loss of my childhood pet, I figured it was time to own my first cat ever. I was not as prepared as I had hoped… from finding tape worms in her litter box the first night to finding 24 rolls of toilet paper torn to shreds and even to finding her stuck on top of the kitchen cabinets. I quickly learned to cat-proof the home, but I just as quickly learned that cats do whatever they want. She is always hunting for a new way to be mischievous. But no matter the chaos she causes, all her crazy antics are made up for when she makes biscuits on me before bedtime. She’s my best friend and I’m happy to be her cat dad.”

Pizza parties are fun, but the goal of TeamX is to make a substantial impact on you as an individual. To be able to do that, we need to do a deep dive to understand what that looks like. If you haven’t already, please take a moment to complete our Mental Health & Wellness survey, here. This feedback will help us in these efforts tremendously!
Making Resources Accessible
Check back for updates to the “Resources” tab on this site which now includes easy access to benefits you already qualify for as part of the CareVet network. It will soon include more easily accessible mental health resources, too!

Who is TeamX?
Megan Dyrek, Team Member Experience Manager, has been with CareVet since June 2021. You may recognize her as part of our Integrations Team, having spent her time before now helping to onboard hospitals upon joining the CareVet family. With over 15 years of experience working in the veterinary field, Megan started her career in vet med as a kennel attendant and has held a variety of CSR, Veterinary Assistant, and Leadership positions in both general practice and emergency facilities. If there is anything she is most passionate about, it's veterinary teams and the supportive community the veterinary industry has created.
